Kyle Knudsen - Animal Center Volunteer

Kyle Knudsen earned a BS degree from California State University, Chico, in 2007 and holds a California insurance license. Based in San Diego, California, Kyle Knudsen is a member of the Chico State Alumni Association and the Theta Chi Alumni Association.

Motivated by his sense of responsibility, Kyle Knudsen volunteered for four years at the Helen Woodward Animal Center. He cared for dogs awaiting adoption and helped prepare them for life with new families. He socialized the dogs with people and other animals, walked them, cleaned their kennels, and supported operations alongside permanent staff. While walking dogs, Mr. Knudsen frequently collected trash to keep his hometown beach clean.

Additionally, Mr. Knudsen enjoys outdoor adventures. An avid camper, backpacker, fly fisher, and snowboarder, he frequently takes road trips to new outdoor destinations. His achievements include summiting Mount Whitney and white-water rafting on Colorado's Arkansas River.

Mr. Knudsen has a strong interest in safety and preparedness. He completed basic safety and survival training, wilderness first aid, and map-and-compass skills training. He has four life-saving certifications: basic life support, emergency oxygen administration, advanced bleeding control, and EpiPen administration.
